President, Cynthia Gossman


After 15 years of working in the world of business, accounting and sales, Cynthia saw her life change dramatically when she was widowed at the age of 30. Shifting from surviving to thriving, Cynthia began rebuilding and reinventing herself and the direction of her life while adjusting to being a single parent and the sole provider of her family. It wasn’t long before Cynthia received her calling to serve others. The combination of optimism, empathy, and communication skills empowered her into becoming the visionary and founder of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit mentoring men and women who had lost their spouses much too early in life.

During that decade-long work, Cynthia became an expert in the grief and mourning process while earning her certifications in Christian Grief Coaching and JOY Restoration Coaching.  Additionally, she has been trained by American Foundation of Suicide Prevention, American Academy of Bereavement, and Center for Loss and Life Transition. Cynthia was nationally recognized by Parade magazine and Living the Life, an ABC Family TV Show, for her excellence in coaching and in mentoring fellow widows and widowers. Locally, she has been the recipient of the WAVY TV “10 Who Care” Award and the WTKR Community Star Award for her accomplishments in giving back to the community.

Today, Cynthia continues to evolve in personal leadership and growth, offering services that guide individuals and companies toward emotional intelligence. Trained by OKA (Otter Kroger Associates) in the EQ-i2.0 self-assessment and the EQ360 team assessment instruments she is certified to administer both of these powerful tools.s discover greater self-awareness and better self-management.

Secretary, Dianna Hicks-Hawkins 

Dianna Hicks Hawkins is a Mom, Wife, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, Friend, Survivor and a Child of the Most High God. She is the President and CEO of Hicks Hawkins Agency Inc., a full service insurance agency specializing in auto, home, renters, life, business and commercial insurance products, located in Norfolk, VA. She has just over 20 years of experience in the personal lines, commercial and life insurance industry and is a Notary Public for the Commonwealth of Virginia. She has been blissfully married to Raymond Hawkins Jr. for 14 years and counting and is the proud mother of 2 awesome teenagers, Deanna Hicks-Sunkins (14) and Tyrell Langley (18). Dianna is an alumnus of Virginia State University where she obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration in 1993. She attends Mt Zion Interdenominational Christian Community Church located in Chesapeake VA and is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.


Volunteer Manager, Erika Grasse 

Erika Grasse is a perfect fit for the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Raised by military parents she was able to travel the world and then marrying she became a military spouse. Erika is an active member of the community, she has been supportive of ministry with running a youth group for 10 years. A Girl Scout leader for 16 years, her troop is still active, the ACHI WSWA ladies will see them all at some point. As they are never far from her. Erika currently has a position  with TRose International Management Group, Inc. which lends itself for her to meeting those in the bridal, event and modeling industry. This giving her the opportunity to form great professional relationships. Supporting and helping youth is a key focus of Erika Grasse, having run before and after school programs as well as preschool too. Erika earned her BA and started a business, Freelance Managerial Business Services, offering specific brainstorming sessions with an artistic muse flair to make sure that the business she is working for is unlike another business and reflects it’s own style that gives others the support and necessary skills to aid them in starting their own businesses. A professional person, her focus is being fair and just in all  business practices. Erika smiles a lot and those that know her will all agree she has a big heart. Married to her high school sweetheart, Juan Grasse, they have 2 amazing children, Taylor 21 and son Trevor 18.

Ordained Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Licensed Minister of the Gospel since 2008. Travel throughout preaching and teaching the Gospel. I have had the opportunity to preach to all races and ages first as a guest minister at Lake Prince Woods Retirement Community in Virginia as well as different denominations throughout the state of Virginia and North Carolina. I host a Sunday Morning Radio Show entitled 'Sunday Morning with Lady Rie" at WLQM AM 1250 The Light in Virginia. I currently work as an Activities Coordinator at Lake Prince Woods Retirement Community where I lead exercise classes, create the monthly newsletters, create flyers for different events, drive transportation for local residents. I lead devotions once a month as well as Bible Study as assigned at Lake Prince Woods Retirement Community. I am a self published author and I am the owner of Black Diamond Entertainment. I am in partnership with Devine Jamz Gospel Network. God has blessed me with many talents and gifts to be utilized to build and uplift the Kingdom of God and His people.

Activities & Events Manager, Yvette Williams


Being an artistic visionary started early with Yvette Williams. At the age of 10 years old after Yvette drew her first picture in chalk, she bolding announced, “I am going to be an artist”. She has followed her passion and dream ever since.


As a visual merchandizer, doing window displays and continuing into an award winning floral designer. Including winner 2012 Designer of the Year. Developing the skill and experience of

various genres. Crocheting, drawing, painting, pottery, sewing, interior design and decorating.


Including being an accomplished poet, with published works.

After the love of much travel and residing in New York and all the fashion exposure. Yvette

returned to Hampton Roads to pursue opening her own business, Designs By The Bohemian

Queen. Featured in fashion shows in New York and Atlanta. Yvette designs are one of a kind in

jewelry. Fashion sculptured from up-purposed cd’s, wires, buttons, glass beads, and found

objects. Each custom piece is created from discarded objects, being turned into the unnoticed

of ordinary into extraordinary. Featured in The Virginian Pilot, her work is shared at

custom couture fashion shops, art studios, New York and Virginia Fashion Week and a host of

other locations. Including private showings for affluent clients.


Yvette is humble and continues to share, ‘she is a work in progress’. Always learning and

growing and discovering her dreams and desires that many time she herself is unaware of.

Yvette and her expansive art work collection many of her own pieces and favorite collection of

pillows live in Norfolk, VA.
